Pop Art

The strongest technical aspect of my work is the texture. I felt that the texture looks really good on his sweater and his hair. A technical aspect of my work that could be improved would have to be the color. I don't think that his skin color looks well with the background I choose.

Something that was easy about this activity was picking a person for the background. The person I choose was Kendrick Lamar, and I felt that he was posed really well for this project. Something that was really difficult in this activity was doing the clipping path for each thing you colored in.

I demonstrated the objective of this activity by using the clipping path when coloring in my person. If I could do this activity again I would probably have picked different colors that popped out more.

Hybrid Animal

The strongest technical aspect of my work is the texture. I used the clone stamp to blend in the Guinea pig and the lion. A technical aspect of my work which can be improved would be the form. The Guinea pigs head does look a bit out of place.

Something that was easy about this activity would have to be picking the background. Since this project was about animals your background had to be something relating the wild. Something that was very difficult in this project was blending the two animals together making them look like one.

I demonstrated the objective in this piece by using the clone stamp to blend the two animals. If I could do this activity again I would choose two different animals.

Shape project

The strongest technical aspect of my work would have to be the color, and shape. The colors really go well with one another in this piece. Also the the different kinds of circles, squares, and rectangles gave it a unique feel instead of it just being squares and circles. A technical aspect that could be improved in this piece would be the space. There were some empty spaces that I couldn't fill because I had to keep the integrity of radial symmetry.

Something that was easy about this project would have to be picking the colors. I find it easy finding colors that match well with the blue corners. Something that was really difficult in this project was getting started. It took me a while to get the wheels rolling, but once I did, finding shapes that went along was easy. Also getting all the folders, and the layers into the folders was really tedious.

I demonstrated radial symmetry using the rectangular and elliptical marquee too, and placing those shapes in a place that was symmetric. If I could do this activity again, I wouldn't do anything differently to be honest. I was really pleased on how this piece came out.

The strongest technical aspect of my work would have to be the space. I felt that I used my space very well, and left very few negative spaces. A technical aspect of my work that could be improved would have to be the gradation between the background and the foreground. I could have blended the background a lot better than what it was.

The easiest part of this activity was finding my person, which was Jay-Z. I had many people in mind for this project, but I really liked the color way that went with him. The golden champagne bottle went really well with his black suit. Something that was really difficult in this activity was getting the polaroids in. I had trouble finding a spot for the polaroids, and I had trouble making Jay-Z show through the polaroids.

I demonstrated the objective in this activity by using the polygon tool in cutting the polaroids allowing parts of Jay-Z and the champagne bottle to poke through them. If I could do this activity again I would have improved the background, and made it fit better with the foreground.

Tattoo Artist

The strongest technical aspect of my work was the value of the tattoo. I felt that the black of the tattoo went really well with the black background of my piece. The technical aspect of my work that could've been improved would have to be the shadows. I felt like they're were some very dark shadows, along with some very bright highlights.

Something that I found really easy about this activity would have to be finding the tattoo. I felt like there are many full back tattoos of Buddha, so finding one wasn't too hard. Something that was difficult about this piece would have to been finding a model to put the tattoo on. It was hard trying to find a male back that would fit my tattoo.

I demonstrated the objective in this activity by using the burn and dodge tool too brighten highlights, and darken shadows. If I could do this activity again I would've spent more time working with the shadows and highlights.

Landscape activity

The strongest technical  aspect of this work would have to be my use of space. I felt that the foreground, mid ground, and background worked out really well together, and looks natural. I used the masking tool to combine two skies. The technical aspect of my work that can be improved would have to be the value. There is lots of light and not much areas of darkness in this piece.

Finding things to go with the back ground, foreground, and mid ground, was the easiest thing in this piece. The hardest part of this piece was just finding a foreground, mid ground, and a background. I could have gone many routes with the landscape, but using the beach scenery made it easier to add things in.

I demonstrated the objective in this activity by using the masking tools. I used it to blend in two different skies in the background. If I could do this activity again I don't think I would have done anything differently. The beach landscape was very easy to work with for me, as there's lots of activities that go in at the beach in the summer.

Personal Identity

The strongest technical aspect of my work would be to choose my images. I choose objects that represented me very well. Every object here represents me, or something that I like. The novan and black hawk are my schools mascots, since I'm not from Bellingham. Some aspects of my work that can be improved would be to choose a better color way. The bright colors don't really match the dark background.

Something that was easy about this activity was choosing the objects that tells something about myself. Something that was really difficult was getting the objects I choose to go along with each other.

I demonstrated the objective in this piece by choosing things that say something about me. Each object here says something about me that I like or do. Like the wrestlers in the middle because I wrestle, and the wrestling mat. If I could do this differently I would've choose a different background, or changed the color since it doesn't really go with the color way of the picture.

radial symmetry

The strongest technical aspect of my work would be the lines and curves of my piece. There are many curves and lines that inter lap to form other images instead of the G. The color way of my piece is also very strong as the colors go really well together. The dark navy blue gives an intensity to the piece, while the subtle pink gives it a warm feeling.

A technical aspect of my piece that can be improved would have to be the spacing. There are many empty spaces in my piece that could be filled with something. I found that finding colors to fit my piece was an easy task. Finding a good design thats radial symmetric was the hardest task in this piece. With all the curves of the cursive G, it was hard keeping the piece symmetric.

I demonstrated radial symmetry by having the G's be symmetric to each other, and by having other G's inter lap to produce an image that wasn't just the G. If i could do this activity again I would choose a different letter, or a different font for the letter. Although the curves with cursive writing were a strongpoint, I found them really hard to work with.
